February 2007: Alphacam News
Due to the success and excellent combined relationship, Alphacam sent a reporter to write an article on the joint success of designing and manufacturing high end furniture for the 160 new entertainment boxes at Royal Ascot. April 2007: New
Designs
We are currently
designing a new laptop
static storage unit
utilising Cabinet Vision 3D
software for one of our major
customers. By producing 3D
modeling, this will reduce
the prototype manufacturing and keep costs to a minimum
so the customer can see the
unit without producing a
prototype.
May 2007: Launch of New Services Division
Due to our most successful year in 2006, we have set up a new division within our business to provide a range of services from CAD design to packing facilities. Please call our office for more infomation.
Soon to be released is a new and exciting range of children's bespoke furniture to brighten up any bedroom or playroom which can be personalised which your childs name.
October 2007: Glaxo Smithkline Beacham
SJK Furniture has been instructed to manufacture and install high end dental furniture using Parapan and Velstone materials. The furniture was designed, built and installed for the new Innovation Centre based in London and will be used for a marketing drive to advertise a new range of tooth paste.
November 2007: Astec Power Europe Ltd
We are pleased to announce that SJK Furniture has been awarded a significant project to provide bespoke furniture for a complete office fit out at Astecs Head Office. The new furniture will consist of bespoke melamine desks with tall units, pedestals in Maple Veneer real wood office and boardroom furniture to include credenzas. The completion of this project was completed two weeks early.
January 2008: Epping Forest Memorial Park
Epping Forest memorial park is currently having a new building which is under construction. This modern, peaceful building is having bespoke real wood Ash Veneer furniture manufactured and installed by SJK Furniture. The completion date for this project is February so please return soon to our photo library for photographs.
February 2008: HM Land Registry Telford
SJK Furniture are supplying three significant reception desks in veneer, designed SJK by working with the team at the Land Registry to produce fantastic pieces of furniture. We are now on the approved suppliers list for HM Land Registry. Photographs to follow soon.
March 2008: Alfred McAlpine Plc (now Carillion Plc)
After been awarded a project to design, manufacture and install two large reception desks working closely with the McAlpine team, SJK Furniture is now CHAS accredited something which are very proud of and look forward to completing the project with Alfred McAlpine.
March 2008: HM Land Registry Gloucester
We are very proud to announce that SJK Furniture has been awarded a second project to supply the Land Registry another reception desk for their Gloucester site. This desk is like the Telford desk with the addition of glass worktops with stainless steel upstands.
June 2008: Bio City Nottingham
SJK Furniture was commissioned to design and manufacture a bespoke reception desk for Bio City in Nottingham. This was a particularly challenging project due to the complexity of materials used to construct the desk. The main body was cladded in a bright white solid surface to produce a complete seamless block. This was complimented by a glossy red perspex front, formed over a template to support the desk and perspex which also supported the desk over section. October 2008: HM Land Registry Swansea
Another milestone for SJK Furniture. We are installing a Beech Veneer bespoke reception desk to be fitted in their newly renovated Swansea office. Pictures will be placed in our SJK Designs page on completion.
November 2008: Blossom House School
This project compiled of high specification science lab furniture for 4 art rooms. Trespa worktops lay over large Belfast sinks with drain edge grooves cut in to the Trespa to match existing tops. The carcases were a clean, crisp white with electric blue doors and drawer fronts with black edging to match the school colours. To assist with drying paintings etc, our design team produced tall wide open fronted cupboards with special cut-outs in each shelf to allow air to flow through the paintings to speed up drying times. The job was completed successfully on time.
January 2009: Chiltern Woodland Burial Park
To start our new year off, we have been awarded a project to install bespoke real wood veneer furniture at Chiltern Woodland Burial Park. The project is to manufacture and install a complete range of standalone units, fitted display units and bespoke worktops with hardwood lipping based on the Epping Forest memorial park project. Due for completion in March 2009, pictures will be placed on the SJK Designs page on completion.
March 2009: Harley Davidson
We were asked to design and install reception desks into Harley Davidson showrooms to reflect the loved and well known image. The desks were constructed out of modern materials with a rough edge, expensive laminates were used as well as tradition sawn timber. We are now in discussions to convert existing sales desks to the new style. Please view our SJK Designs page for images.
March 2009: Portakabin Ltd
SJK Furniture has successfully been awarded multiple projects to supply specialist furniture to various hospitals across the UK. This is providing bespoke HTM63 furniture and worktops as well as reception desks.
September 2009: Harrogate Medical Centre
For SJK Furniture this project was exactly what we are about, delivering an end to end solution with a complete understanding of our clients requirements. Initially we provided all medical furniture for this project, moved quickly on to all office furniture which we finished by installing three large Maple reception desks and various floors. The project was completed within timescales for the building to be handed over to the client.
